Flight Plan

Scroll

Presbyterian Day School has been teaching young boys for the past seventy years, and they have gotten pretty good at it. Recently, they wrote Flight Plan, a guide to help boys navigate their teen years and the transition into adulthood. After a few years, it was clear they had something good—the boys loved the book, and parents from outside the school were asking for it. So they reached out to our team to help shape the book and share it with a national audience.

Project Summary

  1. REVISING THE CONTENT

To make the content clearer and even more engaging, our content team worked with the school leadership on round after round of revisions, from high-level structure feedback to line-by-line proofreading.

  2. OVERHAULING THE DESIGN

Our design team designed custom graphics for the core virtues described in the book, and we transformed the book from a dense chapter book into a vibrant workbook with call-outs, graphics, and space for writing responses.

  3. COORDINATING PRINTING

From purchasing ISBNs to reviewing proofs, we handled the production of the books—both the initial printings for the school and further printings to prepare for national distribution.

  4. BUILDING A WEBSITE

Our development team designed and built a custom website where dads and sons could create accounts and track progress through the book’s supplemental activities and resources.

  5. DEVELOPING EXTRA RESOURCES

Based on the book, our content team created activities, discussion prompts, and infographics for the boys, as well as discussion guides for leaders and teachers.
